In a possible playoff preview the Phillies and Cole Hamels take on Jonathan Sanchez and the San Francisco Giants. The Phillies will see last years NL Cy Young winner in Lincecum this series but fortunately will miss Matt Cane. This series should be a gauge to see where the Phillies are in the National League. Hamels has to set the pace early and get back his control and the offense needs to be more consistent.

Amazing pitching by Cole tonight. The Phillies needed it too with only one run in the game. Of course Tom McCarthy had to ruin it by saying ' Cole is back! '. Lets see how his next game goes. Next he is going to say Lidge is back. Thats like saying a pedifile is done diddling after two days...ass
