Tim Redding once again having his way with the Phillies tonight (fortunately he was on a pitch count and was pulled after five innings) made me think of this thread. What players, past or present, can you think of who just always seem to have the Phillies number, regardless of how bad they may suck against everyone else?
Tim Redding is obviously one

Mike Mordecai. An light-hitting utility player for the Braves, Expos, and Marlins who absolutely owned the Phillies. In fact, I think he kept signing with NL East teams for that reason

Rod Barajas. He was a Phillie Killer when he played FOR the Phillies as well

Todd Helton has good numbers against most teams, but as recently as a year or two ago his career batting average against the Phils was something like .435

Kip Wells used to dominate us when he was with the Pirates, to the point where Ed Wade tried to trade Ryan Howard for him. Fortunately, the people in Pittsburgh's front office didn't think the power Howard displayed in the minors would translate over to the majors

Brad Wilkerson, a classic Phillie Killer, has signed a minor-league contract with the club. Coulda used him about five years ago

Hopefully they convert to Met killers. We need more since Burrell left.

Well Redding is still out there as a Free Agent and he and Pedro Martinez are rumored to be in talks with the Phillies to add depth to the minor league system.
