I like Victorino and all, but that's a little premature

Interesting. I agree its a bit early to call him the best ever.. but he definitely has the potential.

How long do we have him locked up for?

Not sure of the specifics concerning Victorino, but you have to have six years of service time before you are even eligible for FA, so he's under team control for at least the next couple years

When I read this I had to go onto mlb.com to see if this was as obsurd as I thought it sounded. Well it turns out if Victorino is our centerfielder for another 3 or 4 seasons I would have to agree but as of right now, Lenny Dykstra is still the best we have ever had. I went back to about 1950 and there isnt much there for steady centerfielders. Gary Maddox? Johnny Callison?

Victorino has only been the steady centerfielder for less then two season,

Are you looking at just batting stats?

No he was a decent defensive player, was always in the line up, and could hit for power and for average.

Victorino is the man and in a couple years there will be no discussion. Victorino will be the best center fielder in Phillies history.
