'Tis the season, and for the Eagles it was a Miracle at the New Meadowlands that they took home for Christmas. In one of the greatest comebacks the NFL has ever seen, they rallied from a 31-10 deficit in the final 7:28 to stun the New York Giants, 38-31. The winning points came via DeSean Jackson's 65-yard punt return touchdown with no time left in regulation. Michael Vick completed 21 of 35 passes for 242 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 130 yards and a score on 10 carries. Jeremy Maclin caught seven of Vick's passes and though he totaled just 59 yards, Maclin twice found the end zone, including the game-tying score with 1:16 remaining

While it's pretty much impossible to top the end result of their last game, the Eagles have the NFC East title and a potential first round bye to keep them motivated over their last two regular season games, both of which will be played at Lincoln Financial Field. The opponents will be NFC also-rans that were expected to be serious contenders when the season began. First up are the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football. The Vikings concluded the home portion of their season with a 40-14 Monday Night loss to the Chicago Bears. That game was played at the University of Minnesota due to snow damage on the roof of the Metrodome, which the week before had forced the Vikings and Giants to play their game in Detroit. Brett Favre, despite being listed as out on the injury report, started against the Bears but was knocked out early on due to a concussion and is not expected to play against the Eagles. Joe Webb, a rookie taken in the sixth round of this year's Draft, took over for Favre and completed 15 of 26 passes for 159 yards and two interceptions in the loss. Adrian Peterson missed that game due to knee and thigh injuries, but he'll likely suit up against the Eagles

The teams last met at the Metrodome during the 2008 NFC Wild Card Playoff round. It was the first playoff game for the Vikings since the Eagles knocked them out in the 2004 NFC Divisional round, and the first postseason game played in Minnesota since the Vikings defeated the New Orleans Saints in the 2000 Divisional round. Both offenses struggled to move the ball, but with the Eagles holding a 16-14 lead with 6:37 remaining, Brian Westbrook turned a screen pass from Donovan McNabb into a 71-yard touchdown to help put the game away. David Akers would add a field goal (his fourth of the day) with 1:55 left to give the Eagles their final 26-14 margin. The only other Eagles touchdown of the day came in the second quarter when Asante Samuel picked off Tarvaris Jackson and returned it 44 yards to the end zone. McNabb completed 23 of 34 passes for 300 yards and that touchdown to Westbrook. Jackson had a forgettable playoff debut, going just 15-of-35 passing for 164 yards and the Samuel pick six. Adrian Peterson rushed for 83 yards on 20 carries, including both Minnesota touchdowns...The last time the teams met in the regular season was also at the Metrodome in Week 8 of the 2007 season. Donovan McNabb threw for 333 yards and a touchdown on 23 of 36 passing as the Eagles came away with a 23-16 victory. Reggie Brown hauled in eight receptions for 105 yards while Brian Westbrook scored both Eagles touchdowns, the first on a six-yard pass from McNabb, the second on a one-yard run...The last time the teams met in Philadelphia was in the 2004 NFC Divisional Playoff round. The Vikings had upset the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round, but the eventual NFC Champion Eagles denied them any more of a Cinderella run with a 27-14 victory. Donovan McNabb completed 21 of 33 passes for 286 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Freddie Mitchell's two-yard reception from McNabb in the first quarter opened the game's scoring, and Mitchell would later find himself in the right place at the right time when an L.J. Smith fumble at the goal line deflected to him in the end zone. Brian Westbrook scored the other Eagles touchdown on a seven-yard pass from McNabb in the second quarter...The last regular season meeting in Philadelphia between the teams was on Monday Night Football in Week 2 of the 2004 season. With the Eagles leading 10-6 just before halftime, Nate Wayne stripped Daunte Culpepper of the ball a yard shy of a go-ahead touchdown. The Eagles recovered and the Vikings were never able to seize momentum after that as the Eagles came away with a 27-16 victory. Donovan McNabb was 19-of-28 passing for 245 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for a 20-yard score in the third quarter. Culpepper completed 37 of 47 passes for 343 yards in a losing cause...Including playoffs, the Eagles hold a five-game winning streak in the series. The last Vikings win came on September 28, 1997 at the Metrodome, a 28-19 Sunday Night win for Minnesota. The Eagles also have a six-game home winning streak against the Vikings. The last Minnesota win in Philadelphia came on December 1, 1985. It was a memorable one for the Vikings, as they rallied from a 23-0 fourth quarter deficit to put the Eagles on the losing end of one of the NFL's all-time comebacks, 28-23

The most famous Eagles snow game was the 1948 NFL Championship at Shibe Park against the Chicago Cardinals. The area was hit by a blizzard, so bad that legendary Eagles running back Steve Van Buren didn't think the game would be played. Eventually, coach Greasy Neale called Van Buren and told him the game was going to be played. Van Buren couldn't get his car out of the driveway, so he had to take a trolley to catch the el at 69th St (he lived in Upper Darby), switch over to the subway, take another trolley and walk about a half mile to the stadium. Can't really imagine that being done today

Van Buren would score the game's only touchdown in the fourth quarter as the Eagles took the championship with a 7-0 victory
