The Philadelphia Phillies have a 4 game lead over the Florida Marlins in the National League East Division. There really wasn't alot of worry that the Phillies were going to have any issues winning this division. After the lost of Brett Myers and a horrible June, should there be any worries about the Phillies closing out the regular season on top of the NL East? Are the Phillies done upgrading the Starting Pitching with just Martinez?

Phils should have no trouble winning the East. The Phils are by far the best team in the divison. For them not to win the East it would take a major colapse on there part ala the Mets the last 2 years. But i dont see that happening.

Its not even a contest right now. They are cruising! While Florida and Atlanta hang around for a while, the Phils will start to pull away slowly. Now if they get Halladay, that pace should speed up. The best part in all of this is the fact that the METS once again suck and are in no way a threat to make the playoffs...hahah!!!
