LOST 3 OF 4 to San Fran and have lost 4 of last 5 since Cliff Lee trade.

As of today still ahead of the Fish by 5 games in the EAST

Big series against FLA this weekend at the CBP

Hitting with RISP was a major problem this weekend. Hopefully Vic returns tonight and the offense gets back to normal.

Not hitting with RISP has always been a major issue for them

They need to start getting back to the basics and playing small ball.

Agreed, this Fla series is crucial. We can really put a comfortable distance between us and them. Vic coming back to the lineup always helps, especially with small ball. Although Francisco already look like he is going to be a helpful asset to the team.

Francisco will be a great asset to this team-- but only as a 4th OF. He reminds me of Wes Chamberlain for several reasons:

1) He has a 3 letter first name with a long last name
2) He has above average power and speed and plays all 3 OF positions
3) He is not good enough to start

Well sure, I never said he was a starter. Obviously he is not going to start with 3 All-Star OF's on the team. But he HAS filled in nicely. He is the right handed bat the Phils need, and sits in the 4th OF position.
