Looks like Gaither will get another crack at the starting MLB spot. This hurts....do we look at a FA Vet to fill the hole???

No shot. Brooks can't play MIKE and is washed up.

Gaither will start, and best case scenario is that someone is brought in to backup MIKE and WILL. But as usual for the Birds, a big name veteran is not their style.

Agreed, the eagles are set in their ways. It would be nice to think about, but it looks like Gaither will get another shot to prove himself.

You guys are probably right. Gaither already knows the system and has been a starter for the Eagles in the past.

FWIW, Joe Mays played MIKE in practice today with the 1st team, and Gaither remained the 2nd team WILL.

A bit surprising.

They are just trying to put a fire under Gaither's ass putting Mays on the first team defense. Does anyone else get the feeling there is a dark cloud settling over the Eagles this year or is it my 'philly' downer mentality working against me

The Eagles have signed Matt Wilhelm to fight for the MLB position this season. He was a free agent that most recently played for the San Diego Chargers.

Matt Wilhelm a 2 yr starter for San Diego. He Should give Gaither/Mays a run for there money
