The Phils seemed to have moved their focus onto Cliff Lee. They have officially offered the Indians a package that is centered around Jason Knapp. Also Carrasco, Donald, and Marson are not in today's lineup. Perhaps this will go thru, or perhaps the Phils are trying to send a message to the Jays. With only 50+ hours until the deadline, something big is looking like its going to happen in Philly.

I really believe the Phillies are just postering with Toronto with this offer to the Indians. Its funny to think we arent interested in last years Cy Young winner. I would be happy with Cliff Lee.

WIP just said the Phillies made one last call to the Blue Jays and offered the same package PLUS Happ for Halladay and they said no.. wow.

Does this mean halladay is going to the Red Sox? It should be illegal to have their pitching lineup for a short series.

It was initially reported the Indians would help with his salary, which is 2 million for the rest of the season and 9 million next season. If we can lock him up him and Hamels would be a great one two for awhile.

Hey if they want to pay, by all means! I would assume that Halladay stay in Toronto.
Riccardi clearly has this crazy idea of what he deserves for Roy. No one will "Wow" him in time for Friday.

Ok, Can we all forget about Roy Halladay!! What a performance last night by Cliff Lee. He took a NO HITTER into the 6th inning and went the distance for a 1 run complete game.

What a debut by Cliff Lee. I'm already looking into when he will get his first start in Philadelphia.

One of the more amazing aspects of the Lee trade is the impact he has already seemingly had on Cole Hamels.
Hamels was pitching inside noticeably more often yesterday, and it appears as if watching Lee was his motivator to do so. Cross your fingers that Lee will be able to help Hamels continue to get back on track.

Yeah, All Hamels needs to do is just turn that corner. He seems to be right there. Just a little bit of coaching to get back to his 2008 form. He can pitch better than this, we have all seen it. He will get there.

Cliff Lee has only allowed 4 baserunners past 1st base in the 16 innings he has pitched for the Phils....not too shabby indeed!!!

Lee is the ace of the staff as far as I'm concerned. Let's see if Hamels pulls his head out of his ass tonight.
